Prevalence Estimation Methods Brief
February 10, 2021
Estimating the prevalence of modern slavery (MS) can be challenging. Traditional statistical methods alone may be insufficient to accurately estimate hard-to-reach populations. The adaptation of methods, tools, and approaches from other disciplines have emerged viable possibilities within MS sector research. To create visibility around these efforts, GFEMS and its partners have produced the Prevalence Estimation Methods Brief. More than ten experts at the forefront of MS research have contributed to this document with the hope it can serve as a quick reference guide to readers – from donors to policy makers, researchers to practitioners, and other communities that are interested in and engaging on MS research.
