Country Coordinator, Philippines
Khrizzy Avila is the Country Coordinator of GFEMS in the Philippines where she works with different sectors and local partners to plan, coordinate and monitor project implementation. She’s a law graduate who has worked with the Philippine Department of Justice under the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking, assisting women and children who were victims of human trafficking in monitoring their cases. Wanting to be proactive in preventing these dire circumstances, Khrizzy changed career course and chose to work with international non-government organizations. She expanded her knowledge and trained on positive discipline for children, child protection and gender sensitivity. She is a strong child’s rights advocate.
Khrizzy has held positions as Program Coordinator, Consultant and Country Manager with international organizations working on modern slavery, online child sexual exploitation and migration. Previous to GFEMS, she worked with programs funded by Australian government and Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
