Shannon Stewart, Ph.D. – Senior Data Scientist

Dr. Stewart has over ten years' experience in research, modeling, and statistics. Most recently, she used a graph modeling approach to research the business structures supporting North Korean overseas labour networks, which she contributed to the book People for Profit: North Korean Forced Labour on a Global Scale. As a Research Scientist at MIT, she researched economically-motivated adulteration in the global supply chain and led the development of machine learning and statistical models that measure risk of corporate and economic crimes. She was a recipient of a Ruth Kirschstein National Research Service Award. She holds a Master's degree and Ph.D. from Yale University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas.
