GFEMS Issues Request for Concept Notes

The Global Fund to End Modern Slavery (GFEMS) is pleased to announce its latest request for concept notes under our partnership with the UK Department for International Development (DFID). The Fund seeks proposals that can drive innovation and transformative change in overseas labor recruitment, apparel, and commercial sexual exploitation in India and Bangladesh. In this round of funding, GFEMS seeks proposals addressing two of its priority funding themes: Business Engagement and Sustaining Freedom. Under the umbrella of these targeted outcome areas, we expect to fund two types of activities: Interventions (tested methods to reduce prevalence, ready to be executed at scale) and Innovations (experimental concepts, seeking funding for development and testing).

The Fund expects to award up to $15 million across programs in this funding opportunity. Please visit the Opportunities section of our website for details on the Fund’s current portfolio, approach and strategic principles, evaluation criteria, concept note requirements, and more.

Applicants should submit a letter of interest in order to access additional GFEMS research that will support design work. Letters of interest to submit are due by August 15, 2019; concept notes will be accepted until August 29, 2019.
