The Operations & Compliance Manager position is an exciting growth opportunity for a results-oriented, tech-savvy professional who enjoys identifying opportunities for and successfully implementing solutions to enhance organizational productivity while also achieving best-in-class compliance. You will work across the organization to manage and improve key operational systems, processes and policies, ensuring value-maximizing, compliant day-to-day operations of the Fund. This position will perform support and administrative tasks related to the functioning and productivity of the organization, intersecting financial, office, human resources, contract management, compliance, and operations needs. You will wear many hats, from developing and implementing technology-based and other business systems, supporting procurement processes, contributing to and ensuring implementation of organizational policies, supporting the organization’s HR functions, and facilitating smooth IT operations. You will support colleagues both in the US and abroad.
Identify and execute solutions to improve overall Fund productivity, including both maximizing the utility of existing software and systems and introducing new products and processes where necessary
Coordinate and collaborate across teams to enable, support and improve day-to-day business operations and processes with the goal of enhancing operations
Manage designated operational processes and provide administrative support associated with operational processes as required; assist in troubleshooting problems and issues as they relate to daily operational activities
Facilitate and coordinate integration of systems / software wherever possible
Execute special projects, including developing strategies and tactics for enhacing internal reporting and monitoring
Support all aspects of the Fund’s procurement for contracts and suppliers, including process compliance, pre-contract review and negotiation, post-contract timeline and payment monitoring
Support program staff to monitor compliance with contract terms
Actively document and identify variations/claims through tracking schedule
Support human resources processes as directed, across recruitment, onboarding, retention
Support staff compliance with all internal policies, including educating and training staff where necessary
Support Board management and good governance, as directed
Ensuring functioning, productive office spaces, including identifying new spaces when necessary
This position requires a creative tech-savvy team-player who can thrive in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, complex environment and meets the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity in a high-pressure environment, with demonstrated success enhancing productivity
Experience designing, implementing, and/or managing CRM and/or project management software solutions
Proficiency navigating contractual language; experience with U.S. federal grant compliance strongly preferred.
Familiarity with organizational change management principles
Advanced proficiency in a range of information technology and standard software programs (e.g. MS Office applications, Google Apps, Salesforce, other data management systems)
Highly skilled in organization, project management, and clear and concise written and oral communication
Ability to maintain a can-do attitude at all times and multi-task effectively across competing priorities
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment
Natural inclination to seek opportunities for process improvement, and a commitment to get the job done right
