GFEMS seeks an energetic, experienced, multi-dimensional human resource professional. The Human Resources (HR) Specialist will be an integral part of a high-growth organization, providing hands-on support across all key human resources functions: recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, staff engagement, and compliance / policy development. The HR Specialist’s scope will include both US and global staff.

Working closely with relevant team leads, project manage and advise on the recruitment and selection of employees to fill vacant positions.
Develop and conduct robust new employee orientation approach and materials, to ensure common understanding of organizational goals and modern slavery foundations. Identify other opportunities for on-the-job knowledge development.
Develop or enhance relevant Company policies and procedures (e.g., equal employment, compensation, benefits). Periodically Consult counsel to ensure GFEMS is in compliance with all relevant laws.
Develop and conduct management training on interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, and sexual harassment.
Develop and maintain a human resources information system that meets organizational needs.
Develop and launch a performance evaluation system by year-end, and develop other mechanisms to foster professional development.
Analyze wage and salary data to maintain competitive compensation payscale.
Serve as primary point of contact and quality assurer for payroll and benefits administrator, to ensure proper execution of recordkeeping, payroll, benefits administration, etc. Maintain additional records in-house as necessary.
Serve as employee resource for employment relations issues; liaise with legal counsel when necessary to solicit guidance on appropriate resolution.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; and at least five years experience and/or training in relevant HR functions specifically; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to represent employer with utmost poise and professionalism at all times.
Demonstrated commitment to follow-through and results.
Experience working in a startup organization is a plus.
